2024 Virtual Employer Workshops

In 2024, the Certified Age-Friendly Employer (CAFE) program delivered a comprehensive series of virtual workshops that brought together HR, Compensation & Benefits professionals to address key aspects of age-inclusive employment. Each session, running from 4:00-5:15 PM ET via Zoom, provided actionable insights and collaborative learning opportunities.

The 2024 workshop series covered:

  • Job Design, Phased Retirement and Benefits (January 24)
  • Best Practices in Recruiting & Staffing Age 50+ Employees (March 20)
  • Workforce Planning & Compliance (June 5)
  • Employee Training & Professional Development (September 4)
  • Core Values & Diversity, Employee Relationships (November 6)

Throughout the year, these sessions brought together CAFE members and special guests to share experiences, learn from industry experts, and collaborate on age-friendly workplace initiatives. The program, marking its 17th year, maintained its commitment to taking a holistic approach to addressing both employer and employee needs in an age-diverse workplace.
